As much a virtuoso behind the turntables as he is behind the microphone or beat machine, Sean Armstrong, aka DJ Face, has made a name for himself in the years that he's been in the music business, which amounts to over a decade.

As a youth, DJ Face's older brother introduced him to the art of Djing, and he immediately felt at home standing behind the decks. This passion grew and soon gave birth to the emcee and producer who simply goes by his real name, Sean Armstrong. Sean has released several mixtapes over the years and now his debut album, Marble Cake Diaries, which features production from !llmind, Da Beatminerz, Khrysis, and more, along with features such as Tajai of Souls of Mischief, and Grammy Award winning poet J Ivy.

In addition to Sean's performance and production work, as DJ Face he has been spotted spinning all over the DMV area as well as traveling the world, and performing at venues in London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Germany, Aruba and more. He’s performed alongside artists like The Roots, Pete Rock, Little Brother, EPMD, and Kid Capri, to name a few, and is a member of the True School Corporation,  which is run by Grammy Award winning producer, 9th Wonder.  In addition to True School, Sean is also a member of 9th's Black Jedi chapter of The Universal Zulu Nation.

As an emcee Sean is inspired by artists like Masta Ace, Eminem, Nas and Common. When it comes to producing his main influence is DJ Premier. Although heavily influenced by these artists, Sean has manged to create his own style, stay true to himself and produce music that does not follow trends, contain any gimmicks, and promises to stand the test of time.
