DJ Face found his passion for DJ-ing at the young age of twelve. Fascinated by his older brother’s abilities behind the turntables, enabled by a variety of vinyl from their parent’s record collection, Face soon dropped his toys and BMX bike and began dropping beats in the basement of their home. The foundation of his young DJ sessions was built on classic Chicago House records, Disco, Soul, Old School Hiphop, anything that was available in the stash his parents and brother had accumulated.
A lover of Hiphop culture, DJ Face began to branch out in his late teens into sampling and production. Expanding on his creativity, he began to create his own remixes of some of today’s biggest hits. You might hear some of these hot remixes woven into his set, as he masterfully reads the crowd, knowing just how to keep the energy high and the vibes right. This expertise of weaving different genres together, blended with seamless transitions and a keen ability to “read the room”, was developed through the years, via countless hours of practice and live performances.
